2000-08-29 || 10.12a Paintings and photographs I have to make a painting for my sister's newish appartment. No problem, right? I've done them about a gazillion times. One problem: I specialised in watercolours. She wants an oil, which I have NEVER done before. So I went to Omer Desseres and tried to ask a zillion questions of the dude with the funky hair while trying not to show how much of a burk I really am at the whole oils thing. He saw right through me. I got a tonne of info, which I am trying desperately to remember right now. But I'm still scared of oils. Always have been, probably always will be. I'm accepting helpful hints and suggestions, btw. Hear me, Nicks? ********** Note to Mystie: If Henry insists that you pick up a bad habit, make it the kinky sex. That way, we can trade notes. The whole smoking thing will make you look cheap and taste like shite. And if you Do decide to take up massive drinking, make sure you wear running shoes. Man, I saw some serious shite happen to a barbiegirl's ankle down on Crescent street one night... Stupid bitch shouldn'ta been wearing those tall-arsed fuck-me shoes while drinking. Really, really stupid... I, myself, find jeans and a tee-shirt way sexier than those crappy shoes, backless shirts, and tiny shorts. Especially if there's a belt involved. ********** So, I've found my new camera. Nikon F80 or bust, baby! I think I've been to every camera store in Montr�al, and about a dozen sites. They're pretty pricey, but I've managed to work out an X-mas thing with Maman, Sister, and Lover. Now, If I could get Da and ESM to help me out with a light-meter, I think I'm set. I wish I knew where all my old photo stuff went. It's really biting my arse to have to re-buy such expensive boffonomy. ********** That's all for now. |
