Lists
This is something a journalist friend sent me to-day. I find it kinda funny in a bleak sort of way. Here is a list of countries which have been bombed by the United States of America since the end of the second world war, made up by the historian William Blum: Voici une liste des pays qui ont t bombards par les Etats-Unis d'Amrique depuis la fin de la deuxime guerre mondiale, dresse par l'historien William Blum : > > > China/Chine 1945-46 Korea/Core 1950-53 China/Chine 1950-53 Guatemala 1954 Indonesia/Indonsie 1958 Cuba 1959-60 Guatemala 1960 Congo 1964 Peru/Prou 1965 Laos 1964-73 Vietnam 1961-73 Cambodia/Cambodge 1969-70 Guatemala 1967-69 Grenada/Grenade 1983 Libya/Libye 1986 El Salvador 1980 Nicaragua 1980 Panama 1989 Iraq/Irak 1991-99 Sudan/Soudan 1998 Afghanistan 1998 Yugoslavia/Yougoslavie 1999 Dans combien d'entre eux ces bombardements ont-ils fait directementmerger un gouvernement dmocratique, respectueux des Droits del'Homme? In how many of these countries, did the bombings direclty result in the emergence of a democratic government, respectful of human rights? Slectionnez une rponse/pick one: (a) 0 (b) zro (c) aucune/none (d) pas un seul/not one (e) un chiffre entier compris entre/ a number between-1 et +1 By the way, I hope to hell that this bites the Liberals. That would be cool.
