2001-07-13 || 3:00 p.m. An open letter to my prime minister You do not represent the will of the Canadian people. You do not represent the greater good. You do not represent all that is good or even logical. Mr Chr�tien, you and your government have come increasingly to represent the interests of Big Business and the economic bottom line, interests which stand at odds with the rights, needs, and future of not only Canadians, but people across the globe. You have failed you electorate. When you finally peek out from Washington's pocket, you will see the people you have betrayed as they really are: angry, disenfranchised, powerless but viscious in their censure of your policies and actions. The Kyoto Protocol is bigger than Canada and the corporate flunkies who fill the pockets of their puppets in government. It is about making the future brighter and cleaner for future citizens of this planet. The G8 report asking nations to change to green energy is larger than the corporate agenda, it is about saving the world. And you stand on the wrong side of the field.
