'post' election thoughts (but not really 'post')

While waiting to hear about Florida to-day, I had a horrid thought: Bush ruling the roost down south plus Stockwell Day in control of Canada would equal a scary, scary North America. Stock's talking about having a national referendum on the legality of abortion. he also bought a handgun just before the new gun control law came into effect, and considers the *old* law to be just fine, thank you.

Obviously, anyone who lost a loved one to Valery Fabricant or Marc L�pine disagrees.

Yep, Stock and Bush'd make great bum-buddies but lousy legislators.

But I already now what's going to happen: The Liberals will form the next government, and Stock's Canadian Alliance will form Her Majesty's Loyal Opposition.

He he he: Yesterday, while several world leaders were stumbling over themselves to congratulate Bush on his victory (in all fairness, it was the US network's fault), the Prime Minister of Sweden apparently released a statement expressing his disappointment at Bush's presidency.

I wonder if he's hanging onto his seat as much as we are over here.
