Some Gazette crap

Sheesh, I was perusing the Gazette to-day (looking for the comics, actually), when I came across the following full-page advert:

The advert goes on and on and ends with a fun, happy URL.

Ridiculous. There are *five* commas in that sentence! surely, Giuliani or Pataki can afford to have a competent copywriter on staff?

Oh, and the site's not fully functional yet, either...

Aside from that, the news was pretty mundane. The Northern Alliance is saying that sending 6000 British soldiers to Afghanistan is *not* a good move and muttering veiled threats against the Allies already in the country. Wow. Like we didn't see *that* one coming. The Northern Alliance has set up shop in Kabul against the wishes of the US and allied forces. D'uh. Of course they did. Sheesh!

If this comes to trouble for 'our' side from the NA, we'll have to admit that it's a karmic blow. Washington's backing of one drug lord against another in Afghanistan stinks in the nostrils of anyone who knows about the US war on drugs and the damage *that's* done in Latin America. Hipocrites: The stronger the stance, the more shrapnel flies when it gets broken in the name of changing national security needs... Excuse my bitter cynicism in all things pertaining to our great southern neighbours, and ESPECIALLY pertaining to the 3000 Canadian troops, chained to this diabolical crusade by a US government that has warned the *world* that no nation will be allowed to be neutral.
