Is it me or did the world go to hell? I mean, how many earthquakes, tsunamis, avalanches and assorted examples of mayhem is the world going to throw at us?

And how ridiculous is it for me to sit here in my comfy First World flat, snug and protected from the snow and wind outside, and write that sentence?
